Sweet Blooms: Crafting a Chocolate Lollipop Bouquet

As Valentine's Day approaches, why not step away from traditional flower bouquets and embark on a delightful journey of crafting your own bouquet made entirely of handmade chocolate lollipops? This unique and thoughtful gift not only showcases your creativity but also satisfies the sweet cravings of your loved ones. Let's dive into the steps to create a charming chocolate lollipop bouquet that's as beautiful as it is delicious.

What you'll need:

  • 20 ounces high-quality chocolate

  • Plastic flower chocolate molds

  • Lollipop sticks

  • Parchment or wax paper

  • Edible Luster Dust in Colors of Choice

  • Fluffy brush, can be purchased in the cake decorating section of most craft stores

  • Clear plastic treat bags

  • Floral Styrofoam cone

  • Tissue paper

  • Assorted greenery

To make the lollipops themselves is quite simple; just melt the chocolate (I usually use a

mixture of milk and dark but adding some white chocolate flowers in the mix would give the flowers a nice variety as well), pour into the mold cavities and tap against the counter to eliminate air bubbles, then place the stick in the melted chocolate and pop in the refrigerator to harden.

Once the lollipops have hardened, you can release them from the molds onto a piece of wax or parchment paper and paint them with a variety of colors using the luster dust.

Once painted, allow the lollipops to cure for a few hours, then place in the clear plastic treat bags and secure.  The treat bags cast a funky glare when photographed so I did the one above without just so you could see how cool the “floral” arrangement is.

Once the lollipops are painted and wrapped, the fun part really begins.  Using your Styrofoam cone as the base, push the lollipop sticks into the cone to begin creating your arrangement.  Vary heights and facing direction of the lollipop to make it seem more realistic.  If you need help securing the lollipop you can use a glue dot to help hold.

Once the lollipops have been arranged, fill in the blank spaces and holes with the assorted greenery.

Lay out a couple of sheets of tissue paper (I layer them on a diagonal so each color shows nicely) and gently place the arrangement on them.  Carefully wrap the tissue around the cone, securing with ribbon or twine.  Finish with a personalized tag or card for that special touch.

These flowers are easy to personalize; consider the recipient's favorite flower types and colors when selecting your molds and colors. Tailor the bouquet to their preferences for a truly customized and thoughtful gift.

This Valentine's Day, surprise your loved ones with a handcrafted chocolate lollipop bouquet that combines the beauty of flowers with the sweetness of chocolate. It's a delightful and unique way to express your love and creativity and a lot easier than it looks!
